Overview
The Regulation by Enforcement campaign page was created for the Blockchain Association to explain the impact of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) enforcement-first approach to digital asset regulation. The goal was to turn a complex policy issue into a clear and accessible digital experience that informs users, builds credibility through data, and encourages support for clearer legislative frameworks that support innovation. The page needed to serve both policymakers and general audiences who may not be familiar with blockchain regulation.
Process
I led the creative direction, UX strategy, and visual design of the campaign page in collaboration with policy and communications stakeholders. The experience was structured around a narrative flow that moves from explaining the problem to presenting supporting data and ending with a call to action. The design prioritized clear information hierarchy and section-based structure to guide users through the content. Data visualizations and infographics were used to simplify complex findings and make them easier to understand. White space, typography, and consistent branding were used to improve readability and maintain trust. The layout was also designed to be fully responsive across desktop and mobile devices.
Challenges
The main challenge was translating a complex and highly technical regulatory topic into language and visuals that a broad audience could understand. It was also difficult to simplify legal concepts without losing accuracy or nuance. Another challenge was presenting large amounts of data in a way that felt engaging rather than overwhelming. The page also needed to balance advocacy goals with a credible and research driven tone. Additionally, the experience had to work for multiple audiences including policymakers, media, and industry stakeholders.
Result
The final page successfully communicated a complex regulatory issue in a clear and engaging way that supported the Blockchain Association’s policy goals. It improved user understanding of SEC enforcement practices through structured storytelling and data visualization. The experience increased engagement with policy content and created a scalable framework for future advocacy campaigns. It also improved accessibility and readability across devices, making the content easier to consume for a wide range of users.
