Overview
The Blockchain Association website serves as the organization's primary digital platform for advocacy, education, membership engagement, and industry leadership. As the leading trade association representing the blockchain and digital asset industry in Washington, D.C., the website needed to communicate complex policy issues while serving a diverse audience that included policymakers, media, member organizations, industry professionals, and the public. The project focused on redesigning and expanding the website to create a more accessible, user-centered experience that strengthened the organization's brand, elevated its thought leadership, and supported strategic initiatives including policy campaigns, events, membership growth, and educational resources.
Process
The redesign introduced a scalable design system that unified branding across pages, campaigns, and digital experiences while creating flexibility for future growth. I developed imagery and visual components that support a wide range of organizational goals.
Challenges
One of the primary challenges was designing a platform that could effectively serve multiple audiences with distinct needs. Policymakers required clear educational resources and policy updates, while members sought industry insights, event information, and advocacy opportunities. Another challenge was translating highly technical and rapidly evolving blockchain policy topics into content experiences that felt approachable and engaging. The website also needed to accommodate a growing volume of content, campaigns, reports, and events while maintaining a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
Result
The redesigned website significantly improved engagement and accessibility across the organization's digital ecosystem. Through improved navigation, streamlined content structures, and stronger visual storytelling, users were able to more easily access policy resources, event information, and educational content. The platform contributed to an average of 167,000 monthly impressions, 2,940 monthly clicks, and a 45% year-over-year increase in website traffic. Although, a missed opportunity was to turn data into strategic actionable items to help grow organic traffic and lead into a sales funnel to promote and grow the association. More iterations to come.
